This was a great vintage mainly due to Mother Nature, who gave the Napa Valley a cool, long summer and held off the winter until true physiological ripeness occurred and all the grapes were off the vines. Black Bart Syrah 2005
This wine, named for the gentleman bandit of the late 1800′s, gives off a brilliant crimson red color. It’s filled with the aromas of mocha, black raspberries and pepper that lead to a full-flavored palate of currants, blackberries, pepper and spice closing with a long, memorable finish.
