The January meeting of the Diamond Ridge Wine Club had a very “meaty” theme to it. I whipped up some tasty mini-meatballs and marinara sauce that seemed to be a hit with the members.
We sampled a few Italian wines that went well with the little appetizers.
If you check out the PFI Magazine soon you will see a new addition to the content — video!
We are taking video of the meetings and putting them online. I shot a few of Tyler explaining some of the wines we sampled and we also have few testimonials from members who talked about why they attend the meetings and what they get out of them.
In the future, we are going to do more videos and have Tyler explain a few of the tips and terms in wine tasting. It should be a lot of fun.
I also plan to take the camera with me when we go to Hermann next month for the Chocolate Wine Trail Feb. 21. I want to give you all a sense of what the event is like.
For those marking their calendars, the next Diamond Ridge Wine Club meeting is Feb. 26 at 6 p.m. Please call the store to make a reservation. We almost ran out of space last time and only eight people called to make a reservation.
In the meantime, come by the Diamond ridge Market and get yourself a bottle or two. Remember, more wine in ’09!
