2005 Merryvale Starmont Cabernet Sauvignon
This Napa Valley wine earned 92 Points from Wine Enthusiast. It is with grapes from a number of well-known Napa vineyards, including the likes of Beckstoffer and ToKalon. It is a blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot.
It offers drinkers a deep magenta color, close to opaque. Aromas include a soft, slightly oaky with a good core of berry. On the palate, it speaks of chocolate blueberry. It displays aromatic notes of cassis, lifted black current, vanilla and exotic spices. The mouthfeel is round and focused with a long finish.
