All About Wine

Consider these!

This is the month for romance and nothing sets the mood more than a great bottle of wine.

2005 75 wine company Cabernet Sauvignon

This Cabernet Sauvignon hails from the Amber Knolls Vineyard. The 2005 vintage has bright aromas of cherries, cranberries, and roses. It leads into a deep layering of earthy spices, vanilla, and cocoa. It finishes with beautiful and youthful tannins, creating a nice balance of Black cherry and spice.

2006 Hahn Cabernet Sauvignon Central Coast

This in one of my favorite vineyards. Their wines are among the best I’ve tasted. Dark in color and brooding in the glass, the Hahn Estates 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon leads with light aromatics of plum, spice and cedar followed by a whiff of black olive on the nose. The flavors include ripe red fruits, predominately raspberry, and bittersweet chocolate hit the frontal palate before spreading out across the tongue.

2006 “Turn Me Riesling”

Turn Me Riesling hails from the Nahe region of Germany. Pale golden color. Sweet creamy nougat, nutmeg, anise, and citrus custard aromas follow through to a ripely fruity medium body of vibrant yellow apple, lemon marmalade, and spice flavors. Finishes with a long tangy, mineral and smoky accented fade. Great fruit and acidity for the table with nice subtle complexity.

2006 Duckhorn Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc

This lush and inviting Sauvignon Blanc from Napa Valley combines a rich, creamy mouthfeel with bright acidity and a long, refreshing finish. The aroma brings together appealing elements of Meyer lemon, grapefruit, orange blossom and peach nectar, with hints of honeysuckle and graham crackers. On the palate, tropical flavors of pineapple and mango are complemented by layers of citrus, peach and ginger spice.

2006 Conundrum White table wine

The 2006 Conundrum White Table Wine has a spirited nose full of apricot, white peach and honeysuckle aromas. On the palate, its citrus, honeydew and pear flavors are highlighted by vanilla spice and a creamy, mouth-filling texture. The finish is crisp and bright with citrus tones.
