The name is funny but there’s some serious stuff going on with this Boom Boom Syrah from Washington State.
Produced by Charles Smith Wines, it a wonderful, deep Syrah that will win you over with the first glass.
I don’t know a lot about the winery but looking at some of the names of the vintner’s other wines, it appears they are having a lot of fun in the Pacific Northwest.
Besides Boom Boom, they also produce Kung Fu Girl Riesling, Holy Cow Chardonnay and Holy Cow Merlot.
The 2006 Syrah will blow you away, the vintner says, thus the name Boom Boom.
It’s very easy to drink and not too complex with great flavors of berries with just the right amount of sweetness.
