We served these mini meatballs at the club meeting and they were a big. People wanted the recipe and so here, it is:
Mini Turkey Meatballs
1 package Butterball Fresh Seasoned Italian Style Ground Turkey (Wal-Mart carries this. If you can’t find it, regular ground dark turkey meat by Butterball will do).
1 pound 80/20 ground beef
1 egg
¼ cup Italian seasoned bread crumbs
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion salt
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 jar of your favorite marinara sauce
Mix all the ingredients together is a large bowl. Form meatballs about the width of a half-dollar. Brown all sides in a pan. Place all the meatballs in a large Dutch oven or some vessel that will hold them all. Cover with sauce. Cover pan or Dutch over and simmer for about 20 minutes.
Yield: about 30-40 meatballs.
