2007 Selbach Riesling
This wine carries a clear, pale yellow color with a nose of apple, honey and a bit of wildflower. The dominant flavors are apple and honey. The wine is a straightforward, virtually dry version with bright and fresh fruit flavors reminiscent of apples and melons. Try it as an aperitif or with crab cakes, cracked crab, scallops or prawn dishes. This wine is quite simply delightful; it’s a classy Riesling, clean with nicely balanced fruit, the kind of wine people like: charming, long, and way better than its price.
